It’s closing time
With all the focus on our tanking economy I guess it should have been no surprise to me that I would come across two websites in the same day that track the closing of various businesses. The first site is It Died which focuses on online entities that are closing shop. Some of the more [...]

Site Restore
Well, my mom will be happy that my website is back up, even though there are lots of little things I will need to fix. Not the least of which is all of the plugins and customizations of my template. Oh, well, guess that is what happens during upgrades sometimes.
Update: Ok, I think I recovered [...]

A better insulin pump design
On the news that Apple had sold its one millionth iPod, Amy Tenderich wrote a post on her blog , DiabeteMine, that design firms needed to step up to the plate and create more attractive diabetic devices such as insulin pumps and blood glucose monitors. These devices, while medical in nature, are also life devices [...]

World’s Largest Restroom
Found this posted on digg:
1,000 Person World’s Largest Restroom | Weird Asia News
There are 2 questions that I have not found the answer to. First, why is there a need for a 1000 person restroom. Even if it was a Disneyland type park, this would seem overkill. Second, what are the rules in a 1000 [...]

So I’ve decided to try out the Snap Shots tool from Snap.com. Basically this enhances any link by allowing you to see a preview of the site or other item by hovering over the link. It is even able to give enhanced previews for items such as Wikipedia articles and stock charts just to name [...]

Wordpress - version Ella
So I just found out that the latest version of Wordpress that I upgraded to was code named Ella. Seems only approriate that my blog’s header picture is a rendition of my dog Ella. Though she wasn’t named after the famous jazz singer.

Here comes the sun
Ok, so that title may seem a bit odd for a post made on one of the rainier days I have experienced here in Nashville, but I thought it appropriate for a post on solar energy. In fact I might just start naming all of my posts after Beatle’s songs. Anyway, I typically don’t link [...]
